Description

The TVM traction drive voltage monitoring is usually used as a voltage monitor for catenary voltage in DC traction systems. This is necessary, for example, when measurements have to be carried out before connecting the different parts of the S-Bahn or U-Bahn.
An electrical connection of the sections may only be made if all voltage values are within a certain window.
In addition, the TVM can indicate high voltages in safety areas, e.g. at the conductor rail of a subway.

General data

The TVM is a voltage monitor based on analog technology and therefore suitable for highest security requirements. With its specific signal filter, the device ensures that even the impulsive driving voltage of a direct current railway is evaluated correctly.

As soon as the predefined voltage values ​​are reached, the measuring unit begins its activity and shows when threshold values ​​are exceeded or fallen below with ppotential-free changeover switches. It needs no auxiliary voltage as it is directly connected to the catenary or theie supply units.
