To describe these good future prospects not only in general terms, but to make them visible on site, the first InfoTag on railway professions at the BTC Havelland on 9 October 2020 from 14 to 18 o’clock in the open air and thus directly in and on the real railway scene.
Here you could get a good overview of who is currently is looking for skilled workers and how one can get professionally fit for the many tasks and challenges in the railway sector. The core programme of the Info Day was guided tours to selected learning stations. As usual at BTC Havelland, only short distances had to be covered. Because right at The learning stations “traction vehicle”, “turnout” and “switch” could be installed on the tracks next to the access road. and “track pit” will be provided.
Learning station turnout How a turnout works exactly and above all how their precise track position can be determined, the the InfoTag visitors learned about the Technical discussion with employees of Company Witt Solutions. The explanations were so interesting and exciting prepared that it will ultimately even applause. More about this in the video film.
The Assets4rail program started December 2018 and will last for a period
about 30 months. The program, consisting of 19 partners in 10 countries, is
founded by Shift2Rail and persists of 2 Work Streams working on the realization
of cost-effective and reliable rail infrastructure. Each partner is working
towards a digitalization of the railroad system, to collect data of monitored
devices, which than will be delivered to get relevant information about their
status for e.g. maintenance reasons.
The goal of this program is:
decreased track disturbance
decrease on noise levels
increase in reliability and punctuality (public and freight transport)
decrease of the cost of track inspections
Witt Solutions GmbH is part of the WS 2 (Work Stream 2) to find monitoring
solutions for trains and track geometry. Furthermore, find solutions to collect
data via fail-safe systems.
This January (2020) all the partners, also Witt Solutions GmbH, met in
Rome for an midterm conference, to compile their progresses and to introduce
their developed systems.

As well as for the last eight years the symposium for exchange of experience in the field of electro techniques for companies of public transport by train and by bus will take place in 2020. The symposium will take place on 10th and 11th of March in Cologne. Next to a panel discussion, exhibitors from the field of constructions, mode and upkeeping of trains and busses will keep you updated with current topics.
Together with other companies, Witt Solutions GmbH will
be an exhibitor at the 9th AEE symposium in Cologne. We are looking
forward to meet and inform you about our current projects.
Cable Fault Monitoring systemwas available for viewing at SIFER 2019, France’s Premier Rail Exhibition. The system was developed by Witt Solutions in collaboration with Nexans Deutschland Gmbh, and represents an innovative and cost effective solution against theft and cable manipulations. The system was displayed at Nexan’s booth from 26th until 28th of March. Managing director, Klaus Gradischek, was there to answer all your questions.
We are delighted to announce that Witt Solutions together with other 18 European firms and organizations are now a part of Asset4Rail project (www.assets4rail.eu). The objective of the project is to develop a set of innovative and cost-efficient asset-specific measuring and monitoring devices. Asset4Rail is funded by European Union within the framework of the European Initiative Shift2Rail.
Power supply of sensor modules as a necessary prerequisite for extensive railway digitalization (Railway 4.0): Energy harvesting – illustrated by the application example of inductive energy generation for voltage breakdown sensors in railway structures
The program as well as further information can be found here.
Witt IndustrieElektronik will also be present at the experts conference on the 7th of November 2018 in Potsdam! Our CEO Klaus Gradischek will personally present our Witt-Bridge technology and much more in his lecture:
