WITT-Bridge presents our new smart measurement component, the WB-RIM,
a reference electrode for insulation monitoring:
To continuously monitor the insulation condition between earth and structures in DC power systems, the WB-RIM-v measures the voltage and the WB-RIM-a measures the currents between a structure and a reference electrode in the ground. The measured values are used to detect fluctuations, gradual or sudden changes. This enables a wide range of continuous monitoring measures to identify corrosion damage at an early stage and prevent it entirely through preventative action. Through functional extensions, the measured values can be transmitted to higher-level systems or evaluated locally.
