We are an ESF-funded organisation.

Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Women and Family, funded by the European Social Fund

The European Social Fund (ESF) is the European Union’s (EU) most important funding instrument for implementing employment policy objectives as part of the Europe 2020 strategy for growth and jobs. As of this year, we too are part of this magnificent endeavour.

As part of the ‘Brandenburg Innovation Specialists’ scheme, we employed an innovation assistant from 1 March 2019 to 15 May 2019, funded by the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Women and Family using resources from the European Social Fund and the State of Brandenburg.

Among other things, the Innovation Assistant is intended to support research and development in the following areas:

  • Market research and market monitoring of components designed to reduce the energy consumption of electronic circuits
  • Development of power supply concepts for measuring instruments based on energy harvesting
  • Collaborative design and development of new circuits to reduce energy consumption
  • Review of existing circuits and products with a focus on reducing energy consumption
  • Design and development of a test environment for energy harvesting

The aim of this initiative is to incorporate energy harvesting technology into our products.

The European Social Fund (ESF) is Europe’s most important instrument for promoting employment. It promotes equal opportunities in the labour market and helps people to access better jobs and to undertake vocational training and gain qualifications. In the state of Brandenburg, the ESF funding programme for the 2014–2020 funding period aims to improve employment opportunities and to promote education, the retention of skilled workers and integration into the labour market. In this way, the ESF also contributes to combating poverty and strengthening social cohesion.
