The modular WB-VLDM measuring and communication module monitors permanent VLD of DIN 50526-02 class 1 or 2.x or SDS or HVL. The module detects the “breakdown” or “switching” and can report these events in different ways.

You can use this WB-VDLM module to automate the regular, cost-intensive manual cyclical checks of your installed HVL or SDS EN 50526-3 VLD-F or VLD-O. The results of the monitoring can be distributed with the WB-VLDM “over the air” via SMS or electronic message (e-mail) to up to 2 x 10 recipients. Your maintenance team can go directly to the location of the faulty system.
The system was developed with a super low energy concept and can therefore be operated for several years with the battery. The module is mounted on a top-hat rail in a control cabinet.
The WB-VLDM module (3) uses the sensor (2) to permanently determine the voltages or currents of the connection, e.g. on a cable (1) between the two potentials. Through an intelligent evaluation, breakdown or switching of the passive VLD (5) of type HVL or SDS EN 50526-3 VLD-F or VLD-O. The WB-VLDM sends detected events and a regular life signal by SMS or e-mail (4) to up to 12 recipients. If required, the module can also display the status via protocols, e.g. 61850 or potential-free contacts, using optional extensions. The module is also mounted on a top-hat rail in a control cabinet. The WB-VLDM can be configured using a “cyber secure” SMS or a configuration profile.

The WITT WB-CM3 monitors the insulation between the shield or conductor and an earthing point and signals the event via potential-free signaling contacts. Measurement data can also be transferred to third-party systems.
