Description
The ‘WB-VDC’ functional module is used wherever power voltages of 200 VDC or higher need to be measured and monitored. Furthermore, the data collected can be used to make control decisions that are then relayed to third-party systems.
Examples of applications include:
-
Feed-in points at substations for railway infrastructure
-
Return conductor points at substations in railway infrastructure
-
in the generation and storage of energy
-
Truck charging stations
-
Boat charging station
-
Train charging stations
-
Service battery in a BOAT

– Screw terminals,
– Stripping length 9–10 mm
Note: To connect potential-free contacts to
the actuator inputs, use cables with twisted-pair
conductors.
The following conductor cross-sections are permitted:

parameterisation
For safety reasons and in response to numerous requests, the option to configure the device on site has been omitted.
The thresholds can be set at the factory.
If you require several different threshold values in your systems, you can achieve this using the CM1010 / VLD1010 service kit. Different parameter sets and software updates can be stored on the service kit and loaded via an adapter.
It is also possible to transmit the parameters via a SCADA system (for this, the system must be connected via a WB-MC or WB-HS).

|
Monitored auxiliary voltage for external sensors
|
The sensors are connected to the device and powered by it. The current consumption is monitored, and conclusions are drawn regarding the sensor’s functionality.
|
|
Number and duration of overvoltage and undervoltage events
|
Example: Only when a pulse of> 0.2 ms has occurred more than three times is it counted, and a signal is sent after the fourth occurrence
|
|
Any signal delay
|
superordinate systems should only trigger an alarm when an actual value falls below or exceeds a threshold

|
Arbitrary signal pause / minimum signal length
