The WB Terminal Adapter media converter connects a standard USB port to the VLDM interface, enabling configuration and firmware updates.

Description

The WB Terminal Adapter media converter connects standard USB to the VLDM interface and operates on the ultra-low-energy principle. The VLDM components only consume power during configuration. Configuration and firmware updates can be carried out via the terminal adapter. The required open-source software (e.g. CoolTerm) is available on our service portal. CoolTerm enables direct control commands and feedback to the VLDM; other terminal programmes are possible but are not supported.

Application

Typically, location-based information and measurement profiles need to be stored on the VLDM. The WB terminal adapter, which includes free utilities, helps you organise this task.

Functional description

The WB terminal adapter is connected to a standard computer via a USB connection. The components of the WB terminal adapter programme can be installed on this computer. You can prepare a configuration file at your workstation and transfer it to the VLDM using the WB terminal adapter.

You can also use the WB terminal adapter to flash the firmware we have provided.
