WITT PÜWE

Guideline VN 37 Earthing and measures for protection against dangerous body currents in distribution networks up to 10 kV.

Out of stock

Description

  • WITT PÜWE meets the requirements of the V37 directive
  • If the values specified in guideline V37 are exceeded, the WITT PÜWE responds and short-circuits the potentials.
  • Potential-free contacts are used for signaling.
  • The PÜWE is designed for wall mounting.
  • All parameters are stored in the factory settings so that you can use them directly.

Application

Below you can read about the typical areas of application of the system:

To reduce excessive touch voltage on the premises of Deutsche Bundesbahn AG, an existing PÜWE (potential monitoring device) or an EKS (Earthing short-circuiter) switches on at a voltage difference of > 50 V and briefly connects the network operator’s PEN system to the railroad earthing system, if appropriate switching devices are available. The temporary connection of the earthing systems of the network operator and the railroad reduces the total earthing resistance and thus the touch voltage. Fault rectification must be arranged. Before working within these systems, the PÜWE or the EKS must always be switched on.
