monitors the used protection against voltage breakdown

Description

Usage

The device monitors the the protection agains voltage breakdown (SDS) or the voltage limiting devices HVL (according to DIN EN 50526-02 class 1) which is used in the railway sector. Also it reports a defective SDS or HVL via an integrated GSM modem.
This eliminates the need to manually check the backups.

Description

The SDS / HVL monitoring detects the status of the fuse through non-contact current measurement and voltage measurement.
If the fuse is defective, a message is sent via a GSM module. The device does not require any auxiliary power or signal lines. No wiring is required for the installation of the monitoring device.
The SDS monitoring does not require an external supply voltage. The built-in high-performance battery has a maximum service life of 8 years and can easily be replaced. The need for a battery change is reported in good time via GSM.

Function

The monitoring device measures the current and the voltage curve on the fuse. The current measurement is carried out with an AC transmitter. The current pulse generated when the fuse blows triggers a reversible signaling contact. The voltage measurement also monitors the triggering criterion. If a message is set, an SMS is sent via a GSM module.
