With the WB-PM points drive monitoring system and the WB-PM DZ data centre, you can keep a constant eye on the condition of your electrically driven points.
The system records physical and electrical parameters in real time – without the need for complex installations or modifications requiring regulatory approval. This enables you to carry out predictive maintenance, avoid unforeseen breakdowns and optimise your maintenance schedules based on reliable data.

The operational condition of an electrically powered points can be assessed using the ‘WB-PM’ points drive monitoring system. In combination with the ‘WB-PM DZ’ data centre, a systematic measurement of physical and electrical parameters is carried out. Based on the data collected, the operational condition can be evaluated and a prediction made, for example, regarding wear and tear. This data enables you to carry out predictive maintenance (the predictive maintenance principle) and can thus help prevent unforeseen failures.
Furthermore, maintenance schedules can be drawn up on a more evidence-based basis. The system provides you with detailed information without the need for complicated installations or changes requiring regulatory approval. Retrofitting to existing systems is therefore straightforward.
The system consists of at least two components: the ‘WB-PM’ and the ‘WB-PM DZ’.
If required, the system can be expanded to include a SCADA system.
The WB-PM is installed in the immediate vicinity of the existing motor for the electric points actuator without any modifications to the existing electronics. It continuously collects measurement data from the connected units and evaluates it.
Measurement data is transmitted to the data centre (WB-PM DZ) via cable or, optionally, ‘over the air’. Here, the measurement data from the WB-PM is collected and transferred to a SCADA system for long-term storage and further analysis.
The data centre’s intuitive user interface enables the user to easily configure the entire system. The user can check the current status of the individual components to support on-site infrastructure work or maintenance tasks.
Integrating these components into your SCADA system is straightforward and can be carried out by WITT Solutions GmbH. The advantage of such integration is that it enables mass storage as well as the detection and analysis of long-term cycles. A library for assessing the condition of the motor is available for purchase.
